Historical and Numismatic Museum "Héctor Carlos Janson" of the Central Bank of Argentina

The Museum of Central Bank of Argentina tells the story of the country's currency across more than 20 thousand pieces constituting the Nation's heritage.
Its most complete and valuable collection of Argentine coins includes from variations of currency which circulated in the territory of pre-Columbian America, the first national coins, the monetary national issues produced by the Caja de Conversión (1890 - 1935) and by the Central Bank from 1935, to the specimens of the new family of banknotes: "Argentina's Autochthonous Animals".
The Museum was inaugurated on 30 May 1941 and its headquarters are an original building constructed in 1862 which was declared Historical National Monument in 2005.
