The Route of the Museums of Caesaraugusta is an itinerary to know the political center and the public buildings of the Roman Zaragoza. Discover the Roman Zaragoza of two thousand years ago with the Caesaraugusta Route with four archaeological museums: the Forum, the Public Baths, the River Port and the Theatre.
Caesaraugusta, the Zaragoza of Roman times, is the only city in the world to have had the privilege of bearing the full name of the emperor who founded it, Caesar Augustus, throughout the Roman Empire. The date of foundation has been proposed as 14 B.C., perhaps on December 23, coinciding with the emperor's fiftieth birthday. The period of splendor of the city, during which the great public works were carried out, took place during the first and second centuries AD.
