The Oscar Niemeyer Museum (MON) is a space dedicated to the exhibition of Visual Arts, Architecture, Urbanism and Design. It has about 35 thousand square meters of built area and more than 17 thousand square meters of exhibition area and is considered the largest in Latin America.

The MON was inaugurated in 2002. The project is authored by the renowned Brazilian architect who bears its name. The Oscar Niemeyer Museum has already performed more than 300 national, international and itinerant exhibitions throughout this period. With 12 exhibition rooms, each year more than 20 exhibitions are held, which together receives an audience of more than 300 thousand visitors. At the end of December 2013, MON reached the mark of 2 million people who visited the institution since the beginning of the count in 2003.

With a multidisciplinary team that aims to bring visitors closer to the visual arts, the Museum has the Educational Action sector that serves students, teachers and the public in general, as well as offers courses and workshops open to the public, with the goal of empowering people in the development of jobs and projects.
