Indonesian Batik Museum is located in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), East Jakarta. This museum was established in 2014 as an action following the inscription of Batik Indonesia as the a Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO on October 2, 2009. It is intended to be a place of inheritance of knowledge and culture of batiks as identity of Indonesian nation.Currently the management is under the Indonesian Heritage Agency, Ministry of Culture.
