Mykola Babak Foundation

The Mykola Babak Foundation is a non-profit cultural organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Ukraine’s visual heritage. Founded by artist and National Taras Shevchenko Prize laureate Mykola Babak, the Foundation holds one of the most comprehensive private collections of Ukrainian folk and naïve art, including icons, paintings, photography, and ethnographic artifacts.

Through exhibitions, research, and digital projects, the Foundation bridges traditional and contemporary culture, revealing how local artistic practices reflect broader social and historical narratives. Its mission is to safeguard cultural identity, foster artistic dialogue, and make Ukraine’s heritage accessible to global audiences.
