The Port Washington Public Library has been serving the community since 1892 when it was housed in a local family’s front parlor. Today we are a modern service-oriented institution. The Library’s Local History Center collects, preserves and manages unique historic and artistic materials, with a strong emphasis on items of local interest such as The Sinclair Lewis Collection. Other notable items in the collection include early photographic prints, drawings, rare books, maps, and artifacts.
