The Ravi Shankar Foundation was established in 1997 and has helped to build The Ravi Shankar Centre in Delhi with a beautiful atmosphere where extremely talented and hardworking students are introduced to the age-old tradition of the Gurukul System of learning. The Centre is also a venue for informal and intimate Indian music and dance performances and art exhibitions. Always on display are rare photos and the awards received by the maestro which are a part of the Shankar Family collection.
