As part of its eCulture Agenda 2020, the Ministry of Culture and Media Hamburg has implemented the project "Speicherstadt digital". It invites visitors to digitally discover Hamburg's outstanding UNESCO World Heritage Site. Numerous partners are involved, including the Stiftung Historische Museen Hamburg, Norddeutscher Rundfunk, Fraunhofer Focus, the University of Hamburg, the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and Dataport. The Speicherstadt Hamburg was once the most modern logistics center in the world. Today, it serves as an example of how to make a UNESCO World Heritage virtually accessible.
