Thai Film Archive is an agency responsible for preserving Thai film heritage and promoting cinema as an educational tool. Established as a sub-section of the Fine Arts Department in 1984, the archive has been granted the status of Public Organisation in 2009. Besides preserving film and digital media, the Archive also runs the Thai Film Museum and a cinematheque on the premise.
