The Thai National Flag Museum is the most comprehensive knowledge center on Thai national flags. It focuses on an accurate and evidence-based historical revision of Thai national flags especially stories, backgrounds, and the pattern development of Thai national flags from past to present. Various original pieces of evidence have been taken into account when conducting researches and references, such as flag lithographs from around the world, photographs, documents, publications, Thai Flag Acts as well as all materials related to the Siamese national flags (Thai national flag).

In cooperation with the government, the Thai National Flag Museum has been the key agency to organize activities to promote knowledge about Thai national flags to children, youth, and the general public on a continuous basis. This role is in accordance with the main objective of the museum.

And with an aim to provide accurate knowledge about these highest symbols of the nation to those who are interested from all over the world in mind, the Thai National Flag Museum has a free admission policy. The museum has charged zero entrance fee since its inception in 2007.
