The National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan - one of the oldest museums in Russia, the largest repository of monuments of material and spiritual culture of the Middle Volga and Urals. The museum was founded as Kazan Scientific and Industrial Museum in 1894. Inauguration of the museum took place April 5, 1895.
