Gifted to the nation in 1986 and now vested in an independent charitable Foundation, Weston Park was the ancestral home of the Earls of Bradford and it continues to fulfil its hospitable purpose as a great English country house. Standing in a thousand acre park and gardens landscaped by Capability Brown, the House has outstanding indigenous collections that represent the collecting interest of several generations of the Newport and Bridgeman families. They spans almost every type of fine and decorative art. Almost every object from magnificent Van Dyck paintings to a humble baby’s rattle, has a story to tell. Weston Park is also home to the Granary Art Gallery - a contemporary art gallery within a Palladian-style eighteenth century great barn which is free-entry and open daily, year-round.
