New colors, deformation of figures

By Kyoto Prefectural Domoto-Insho Museum of Fine Arts

In 1952, Insho traveled in Europe to view artistic works. Upon his return to Japan, he began painting, using new colors and simplified or deformed figures as if to sublimate into his works what he had absorbed in Europe.
