Get to Know the Founders of Utopic Arabia
Victor Nouman and Eugenio Fernandez are architects and digital artists who are the co-founders of Utopic Arabia, an Instagram account that offers ‘an extraordinary vision into the Middle East’. Fernandez hails from Spain while Nouman is half-Spanish, half-Syrian.

Moving to Dubai six years ago to work on the Etihad Museum project, they were fascinated by the changing city and the exotic desert landscapes.
Utopic Arabia was born from their desire to initiate an artistic project that blended their passion for architectural art and the elements of Middle Eastern culture.

Their creations are marked by futuristic inflatable shapes, created with a playful touch and placed within desert landscapes or remote villages.
What started as casual imaginative sketches at a coffee shop in Jumeirah today uses images captured across the region, brought to life using a dynamic 3D effect.
Interestingly, rather than the world-renowned architectural wonders of Dubai, the duo are enamoured by lost desert villages or small traditional settings as they lend themselves to being re-imagined. “We are creating a utopian world inspired by Arabia,” say Nouman and Fernandez.
