A palace with two architectural styles

The rose red brick Tudor palace is indelibly associated with Henry VIII. The Baroque palace, designed by Christopher Wren, was first occupied in 1700. Nowhere else in England does the full range of a Baroque royal palace survive.

60 acres of formal gardens and 750 acres of parkland are set within a loop of the River Thames. See the world's oldest puzzle maze, a record-breaking grape vine, three National Plant Collections and a huge variety of wildlife, including the descendants of Henry VIII's deer herd.

In 1838 Queen Victoria opened the gardens and state apartments of Hampton Court Palace to the public. Today, Hampton Court Palace is a busy workplace and heritage attraction welcoming millions of visitors from Britain and abroad.
