The evolving imagery throughout the 2020/21 cover series, show ‘procedural models based on mathematical formulas’ and displays growth through the Innervisions’ prism. This is opposed to the reverse artwork where the same procedural models annihilate the Innervisions logo, implicating growth as the source of decay.

As part of the IV94 - Echonomist - Virtuality EP we worked out a digital sample kit together with graphic artist Julian Loscher. Based on the idea of future realism and new technology he worked out an unreal product.

"How did you go about getting your EP released on Innervisions?"

‘Limbo’ is an intermediate, transitional, or midway state or place and is exactly where Innervisions exist at this moment in time. As the label looks forward to its 100th release in 2021, ‘Limbo’ marks the change and movement within Innervisions, our club culture and the music industry, signifying how it will continue to evolve and adapt. It represents the opportunity to reflect and make a connection between how things have been done previously, whilst looking forward and asking the question: what will be done differently in the future?

Continually endeavoring to blur the worlds of sound and art, we have collaborated with the artist Cibelle Cavalli Bastos on an audio visual experience entreating listeners to create their own remix of ‘Limbo’.

Available as an interactive AR on Innervisions’ Instagram, Cibelle compiled selected loops based on stems from the featured artists’ tracks and assembled them as one consolidated remix in AR, allowing the user to further augment the sound and generate further remixes as they play with dynamics, pitch and reflectivity in bringing the loops together. In a time where interaction in its traditional club environment is limited or completely unavailable, this filter enables you to personalize your digital sound experience, discovering new possibilities and outcomes with each listen whilst navigating a visually immersive reality.
