Music is a catalyst for a stronger, more connected community. That belief is at the heart of the Charlotte Symphony, and every day we provide exceptional musical experiences that inspire our community, plus programs that create new pathways of opportunity. If you think the Charlotte Symphony sounds good on stage, listen to all we're doing off stage...
We create opportunity
Opportunities change lives. Stop by a Project Harmony rehearsal, and you'll feel the difference we're making in the lives of students in low-income areas. When an excited young trumpeter encourages his friend, who can't quite get it -- that's the Charlotte Symphony at work.
Charlotte Symphony New Year's Eve Celebration (21st Century) by Hue House, LLCCharlotte Symphony
We believe in equity and inclusion, and we aim to reflect diversity on stage. We intentionally seek out women conductors, underrepresented in our industry, and conductors, composers, and guest artists of color.
We nurture hundreds of area students
We nurture hundreds of area students at all talent levels and in the highest quality of music education in our Youth Orchestras. And we've restructured our audition process so that every child can participate.

Don't love the concert hall? Catch us out at a brewery or park in your community. We bring music to people where they are -- as far as Gastonia and even Chester, South Carolina.
Music is a right, not a privilege.
Financial status should never be a barrier. We offer a sliding scale for Youth Orchestra tuition, many of our community concerts are free or under $20, and, if you're on public assistance, we save $1 seats just for you.
