Cracovians have been out of luck with regard to Beksiński; never before has he had a permanent exhibition venue in our city. Up until now!

Since October 2016, it has been possible to view 50 paintings from the private collection of Anna Dmochowska and Piotr Dmochowski – merchants and friends of the late artist – on permanent exhibition at the Zdzisław Beksiński Gallery of the Nowa Huta Cultural Centre.

For the most part, the oil paintings presented at the Gallery come from the 1980s – from the so-called fantastic period of the painter’s œuvre. It is at that time that his best-known, from today’s perspective iconic works were done.
