The award-winning photojournalist of the international news agency Reuters presents images from the frontlines of the climate and humanitarian crisis, documenting global reality with sharpness and sensitivity.

The exhibition focuses on natural disasters that have shaped our collective experience in recent years — from the wildfires in Greece and Australia to drought and the consequences of the food crisis in Madagascar.

Alkis Konstantinidis | Short Bio

Alkis Konstantinidis is an award-winning photojournalist and currently serves as Europe Pictures Editor at Reuters, based in Athens. He began his career in 2009 as a freelancer and joined Reuters in 2014, covering the financial crisis in Greece and the mass refugee exodus to Europe.

Since then, he has covered some of the most significant events of the last decade, including the wars in Ukraine and Iraq, the uprising in Egypt in 2011, the Rohingya refugee crisis in Bangladesh, as well as key international events such as the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, the funeral of Pope Francis, and the Olympic Games in Rio and Tokyo.

In 2016 and 2019, he was part of the Reuters team awarded the Pulitzer Prize for coverage of the European refugee crisis and the migrant caravan from Mexico, while in 2024 he received the World Press Photo Award for his work in Ukraine.

His photography is internationally recognized for its emotional depth, journalistic integrity, and ability to narrate the most critical stories of our time through images.
