Refusing to divorce his jewish wife in order to protect her from the Nazis, Hein Gorny (1904-1967) was banned from working as a commercial photographer. In an effort to resettle to the USA with his family, Hein Gorny travelled to the USA in 1938.
He travelled to New York with photographic prints to present his work to the editorial teams of magazines.
Hein Gorny travelled from New York to LA, accompanied by two persons. This lady (apparently also a photographer?) and the gentleman on the next slide. We have not yet been able to identify this lady and this gentleman and we would be very grateful if you have an hint (info@collectionregard.com).
