What is a fashion film?
Conceptually, fashion films represent a hybrid lifestyle that spans several genres. Produced by brands, designers, storytellers and artists, they often feature fashion in the lead role or as a supporting character.

Crikey (2019-10-31) by Charlotte MungomeryThe kulturspace Foundation

Crikey Emerging

Crikey is a tropical infused dreamscape connecting culture and fashion for designer Iris Hall's debut collection 'Gumnut'. This cheeky fashion film follows an unconventional romance between a woman, a man and his outfit. Drawing strongly upon notions of ‘larrikinism’ and ‘kitschness’ this work captures the playfulness and irony inherent in Australia's unique style.

La Mer (2019-06-15) by Victor ClaramuntThe kulturspace Foundation

La Mer Direction

We live in a society where we are not aware of the amount of plastic around us.

Four children, from 11 to 6 years old, in recognizable two-color environments, where the plastic that coexists naturally with us stands out, they will tell us what we are doing with our oceans ...with our planet. From the world of fashion we must also make the audience aware that we should do everything in our power to change the course of history. Fashion as a social speaker. Kids as social speakers. We need all world attention.

The Future is Inclusive.

Founded on the basis of inclusion, sustainability, and community, LAFF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit platform produced by The kulturspace Foundation for forward-thinking creatives & brands to showcase collaborations and incite meaningful exchanges.

#LAFF20 is themed “Diversity” - what does this mean to you? For us Los Angeles is one of the most multicultural cities in the world, with people from approximately 140 different countries, speaking roughly 86 different languages. With immigrant-friendly laws, it is a popular place for those seeking a new life in the US. The city also has the distinction of being a place without a majority population, creating a truly vibrant cultural scene.

Poised as a cornerstone of LA fashion events, the festival returns in 2020, showcasing progressive ideas via an immersive cultural experience of film, retail, innovation, and beauty influences.

We hope to have you in our audience!
