Pinoy Rangers, 2011. Gerilya believes that Filipinos should idolize their own impressive folk heros, and so created a comic book series called the Pinoy Rangers, a riff on the Power Rangers.

“Filipinos have lost their identity and we are aching to help our people find ourselves. Culturally and historically, colonization factored hugely into this and now globalization threatens to worsen the problem. That’s why we really strive to preserve and bring back our consciousness as a people. Artists are agents of culture and it’s up to us to do our part.”
