Audiovisual Room
Space to record the belonging and valuing the work of the local artist. This room has hosted diverse photographic exhibitions of Congonhas artists.
Márcia de Moura Castro Collection
Collector Márcia de Moura Castro devoted herself for more than half a century to bringing together sacred art and popular religiosity objects. From her collection, a set of 342 objects composed of ex-votos and saints, acquired in 2011, by IPhan, and ceded to the museum.

The portrait of Aleijadinho
The 18th century portrait is an "oil on parchment", painted by Euclasio Penna Ventura. The work was acquired by several antiquaries until it is donated to the collection of the Minas Gerais Public Archive and subsequently given to the Congonhas Museum.

The Congonhas Museum produced, alongside UNESCO in Brazil, new techniques for the conservation of monuments in stone, especially related to the production of digital copies of sculptures, in addition to the updating of the technique of production of physical copies.
Reconquest of Congonhas
The late recognition of Antônio Francisco Lisboa, Aleijadinho, as an important Brazilian artist acquired impetus with the artistic movement known as modernism. The valorization of his productions happened alognside this recognition, with the sanctuary becoming his masterpiece.
