The Museum of Targa Florio in Collesano was founded on June 27th 2004 by Giacinto Gargano, who was the first Supervisor . Today the museum, managed by his son Michele, collects documents and various historical objects including the Bronze plaque of 1920 and that of 1965, given to the Museum by Ninni Vaccarella, commemorative postcards, Elford’s, Hezemans’s, Giunti’s, Scarfiotti‘s, and Moreschi‘s helmets, the pilot suits of Vaccarella, Pucci, Forghieri, Facetti, Maria Teresa de Filippis, Starrabba of Giardinelli and Biscaldi and the gloves and glasses of Pietro Taruffi
