Bump In

From the arrival of the laden trucks at the dock, to the final production on stage, a musical theatre bump-in requires the precision of a military operation. In this photo gallery, we experience the complicated manoeuvres taken by the likes of semi-trailers and more to bring Baz Luhrman’s stage musical Strictly Ballroom to life on the Lyric Theatre stage at Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC). QPAC is Queensland’s premier performing arts centres and based in the Cultural Precinct in Brisbane, Australia. It fosters an environment of innovation, creativity, entrepreneurship and learning.
