Primetime: A Virtual Exhibition (Part 1)
"Originally intended to be on display at the YoungArts Gallery, Primetime: A Virtual Photography Exhibition takes on new meaning as the world continues to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic. The virtual presentation is inspired by the idea that artists, especially now, are who we can turn to for meaningful contemplation, allowing us to reflect, to look forward and to tune out the white noise of information. In this exhibition, lens-based artists participate in contemporary discourses around current affairs, disease, race and representation, body image and heritage" in the words of Luisa Múnera, Curator and Exhibitions Manager. National YoungArts Foundation identifies the most accomplished young artists in the visual, literary and performing arts, and provides them with creative and professional development opportunities throughout their careers.
