The history in audio

The construction of the Theatro Municipal de São Paulo started in 1903 and it was already finished eight years later. Several details in its architecture to represent São Paulo's elite, mostly coming from coffee trade. Since then, numerous historical aspectswere preserved, but other ones suffered modifications because of reforms and contemporary attempts of representation.

This audio guided exhibition with Alana Schambakler, coordinator of the educational department of the Theatro Municipal, will provide you with an in-depth understanding of the building's architecture and history. Have a good tour!
