Moira is a blind artist, with a degree in Journalism, and her journey with dance began in Theater, when she was an auditory student at the University of Rio de Janeiro's Theater Department (2007).

She recalls that at the end of a semester, she took part in a body class with the master, then guest teacher, Angel Vianna. After this experience, she enrolled at the Angel Vianna School in the technical course of Motor Recovery and Therapy through Dance (2008 - 2010).

At the School, the embryo of the children's show "Ventaneira: cidade das flautas" was formed, presented as an 8-minute danced poem at the School's semester showcase. "Ventaneira" is inspired by the novel "Invisible Cities" by Italo Calvino.

Between 2011 and 2013, she studied in the postgraduate program at the Angel Vianna College in the course Body, Differences, and Education. Between 2013 and 2021, she was part of the Pulsar Dance Company.

In 2016, she was awarded a public grant from Rio de Janeiro and, in partnership with actor Felipe Pereira, who is also blind, created the performance "Ventaneira: cidade das flautas".

In this performance, she highlights some aspects of exploring the elements of assistive technology (audio description and translation into LIBRAS) as part of the dramaturgy of the show.

For example: the LIBRAS interpreter, who wore a costume instead of the usual basic black (although still positioned in the corner); the audio description was guided by Moira herself, as she was the creator of the project.

These "resources" were present in all sessions of the season, unlike what is usual in able-bodied productions, which typically select 1 or 2 sessions with "accessibility."

In 2020, Moira was awarded a public grant from the Aldir Blanc Law to produce the audiovisual version of "Ventaneira". In this format, the artist was able to weave the "resources" more deeply into the dramaturgy, thus transforming them into aesthetics.

In 2021, she began the Professional Master's in Dance at the UFBA Dance School, where she started the research for "Entre Nuvens", which had its first online version in 2022 through the Funarte Acessibilidança Festival, Second Edition.

In "Entre Nuvens", the investigation of aesthetics is deepened – audio description and LIBRAS translation transform into the scene and create the dramaturgy of the performance, thanks to the municipal grant from Rio de Janeiro.

The performance premiered in person in December 2022, with a short season at the Angel Vianna Theatre of the Coreographic Center of Rio de Janeiro and at the Cacilda Becker Theatre.

In 2023, the artist defended her Master's thesis, in which "Entre Nuvens" is both the subject and object of research.

In addition to being a creator, Moira is a body coach for various theater, dance, and television productions. In one of these, she joined the cast of the Globo telenovela "Todas as Flores", aired in 2023, playing the fun and cheeky character Fafa.
