Cromwell Tower is named after Oliver Cromwell (1599-1658).

Oliver Cromwell's wedding was at the Barbican's church, St Giles Cripplegate, in 1620.

Cromwell Tower - Luxury Living

When the Barbican Estate first opened, the flats in the towers were advertised as a luxurious place for city workers to live. This drawing shows the lobby of Cromwell Tower.

The rooms were all designed to high standards of luxury and contemporary fashion, though some flats are larger and more expensive than others.
