Founded in 1924, the University keeps in its collections one of the typical insignia of the celebratory rhetoric of the years of the regime: the historical Banner, with the symbols of the Minerva and the then existing Faculties.
Gonfalon (front)University of Milan
The goddess of Science is represented with the crested helmet, the Armor, the Shield, the Lance: an Iconography that refers, in particular, to the copy of Athena Parthenos preserved at the Archaeological Museum of Athens.
In the Gonfalone the Minerva rests on a narrow beam.
