Getting to Know Abdullah Al Qassab
Abdullah Al Qassab is a research and development engineer turned stand-up comedian. A public speaker and actor, his projects have been screened in Hollywood and at Cannes.

His entry into stand-up comedy started with a workshop held at his workplace, which eventually led to the opportunity to perform on many stages, including universities.
Stand-up revealed a side in him which became a significant part of his identity. At the 2018 Abu Dhabi Ideas Weekend, he was invited to deliver a talk on stand-up comedy.

Abdullah Al Qassab’s stand up follows the expressive school of comedy, used by Richard Pryor or Eddie Murphy. He calls himself an ‘expressionist’ as he tends to express emotions, values or provocative thoughts.
This led him to pursue a degree in psychology and conduct psychological artistic workshops, along with his wife.
Al Qassab is renowned for his role as a mentor for young Emirati, helping them to learn and gain knowledge of his expertise.
He is also a philanthropist at heart and uses his talent in stand-up comedy to fund humanitarian projects. For him, this is not about making money but enjoying what he does.
