For 6 years,  BOOM Concepts presented new monthly exhibitions on the 1st Friday of every month known as "Unblurred," a gallery crawl on Penn Ave in the Bloomfield/Garfield neighborhood.

Unblurred First Friday's at BOOM Concepts

Unblurred: First Fridays on Penn is a monthly initiative sponsored by the Penn Avenue Arts Initiative, a joint program of the BGC and Friendship Development Associates. What started as an attempt to revitalize Penn Avenue between Negley and Mathilda has transformed into one of the city’s hottest cultural events. BOOM Concepts has utilized Unblurred as an anchor program to present artists multiple opportunities to connect with new audiences, surround themselves with established artists, and utilize the month long experience as a professional and development opportunity.

Black on Black Magic showcased individual projects from Anqwenique, Bekezela Mguni and DS Kinsel utilizing BOOM Concepts as a crossroads between their practices.
