'Urban Furniture: Co-living' is a conceptual extension of this spontaneous form of cohabitation where collective and individual needs seamlessly coexist and shape each other. By Shuhei Aoyama of B.L.U.E. Architecture Studio in collaboration with Sunshine100.
Shuhei Aoyama x Sunshine 100The proposal of Japan born architect Shuhei Aoyama is product of an ongoing collaboration with Chinese real estate developer Sunshine 100. Aoyama's approach takes inspiration from vernacular urban typologies like Beijing 's hutong districts and Shanghai's longtang neighbourhoods.

MAD's proposal was inspired by Chinese traditional gardens. It explores the possibility of integrating the traditional aristic conception into public toilets in traditional hutong neighborhood. With the aim to create the harmony between the nature and human, the hutong public toilets are reformed from a sole function unit to a micro garden that can on one hand satisfy its functional use with advanced sustainable technique,on the other hand can create visual beauty and a sense of dynamics for the communities.

Atelier FCJZ The Bike House
Yungho Chang x MUJIThe Bike House is both an architectural envisioning for housing systems made for bikers, featuring interiors and common areas designed for their movements, but most importantly it is a proposal for a new form of collective living, a community of cycling enthusiasts. MUJI and atelier FCJZ join forces in exploring the possibilities of such life style. The project in the show, features a set of sculptural elements (Bike Windows) and a series of 8 videos, or "bike stories", especially realized for the show.
