Art for Soul by Bolanle Austen-Peters
Culture connects us, gives hope, creates solidarities, and reminds us of what’s most important. To inspire strength, Bolanle Austen-Peters shares what makes her find joy and hope - the artwork ‘Condo News’ by Alex Nwokolo.

“Community and family have always been important to me and Nigeria as a whole. In Nigeria, we rely on one another, and our power comes from our strength in numbers. Nigeria is the most populous black country in the world. I love the use of newspaper cut outs as a background for the abstraction of houses.”
“Nwokolo uses sharp lines and resplendent colours to evoke the sense of bubbling life within each house. While the sun hangs in the corner over this bustling community. Alex Nwokolo has truly captured the sense of solidarity in Nigeria.”
