Although the Paschoal Nardone Collection mainly comprises documentaries, two films offer a unique perspective. These fictional narratives are a rare example of the world of amateur storytelling in Brazilian cinema.

Amor de Sertanejo

The most complete film and the one in the best condition was called Amor de Sertanejo (Sertanejo Love).

Punhal malaio

Another fictional movie in the Collection is Punhal malaio (Malayan Dagger). Unlike the other film, this one was poorly preserved.

The title card also suggests that this is the second in a two-part story, but the first part is not found in the collection.

The Paschoal Nardone Collection includes these two films, which constitute the first attempts at fictional storytelling. With uncertain origins, they represent an interesting experiment in the early stages of Brazilian cinema, and may be original or inspired by already existing films.
