Dubai Reefs
URB's sustainable initiatives include a coastal project called "Dubai Reefs”, a floating marine institute for coral reef restoration. Along with preserving the marine ecosystem, it also offers residential and tourism amenities, promoting ecotourism along Dubai's coasts.
The Loop
Another exciting project that URB is working on is The Loop, which is a new sustainable urban highway that spans 93km equipped with indoor climate control, allowing cycling and running around the city throughout the year. The project is the first of its kind in the world.
According to Baharash Bagherian, the CEO of URP, urban planners and architects now have a broader responsibility of implementing sustainable solutions that promote social, economic, and environmental well-being.
