From award-winning restaurants and bars to star turns by Jamie Oliver, Nigella Lawson, René Redzepi, Yotam Ottolenghi and Alice Waters, global cuisine is an essential part of the culture explored and celebrated on Bennelong Point.

Known to the Eora people as Tubowgule (‘where the knowledge waters meet’), Bennelong Point was originally a rocky outcrop reached at high tide via shell middens, testimony to its importance as a place for food, celebration and ceremony for thousands of years.
The same elements - celebration, art and culture - meet on Bennelong today, from its celebrated restaurants to year-long programming that explores the art and politics of food and its place in our culture and society.
The first and smallest of the Opera House’s famous pavilions is home to Bennelong Restaurant, which continues to define modern Australian cuisine.
All along the Opera House’s Lower Concourse, restaurants and bars entertain and serve visitors to the Sydney Opera House day and night. Facing the Harbour Bridge across the water, the Lower Concourse is Sydney’s premier destination for locals and visitors alike.
