The National Indigenous Art Fair at The Cutaway Barangaroo

Over 100 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists will travel to Sydney, thanks to support from First Hand Solutions' Heart in Art program, which provides economic and professional development opportunities to Aboriginal artists working in remote communities.

The National Indigenous Art Fair offers a unique opportunity to experience Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art and culture from remote community-owned art centres from the Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.

Art centres play a critical role in remote communities, generating vital income, jobs and economic development on country, while keeping culture and traditional knowledge strong.

People who attend NIAF can ethically access incredible art, and learn about Indigenous culture.

This annual arts and culture gathering is in its seventh year and features a vibrant program of live Indigenous music, cultural dance performances and interactive educational experiences for adults and children.

This is a unique opportunity to meet artists from remote art centres who face many barriers due to their remoteness. NIAF bridges this gap and directly connects remote art centres to people in Sydney and beyond who are interested in learing about Indigenous culture.

The National Indigenous Art Fair will be held at The Cutaway Barangaroo from the 3-5 July. This year we will have an opening night on Friday, followed by the art fair on Saturday July 4 from 10am to 5pm  and Sunday July 5 from 10am to 4pm.
