KORG 800-DV
This KORG 800-DV introduced in 1974 by the KORG Company, who were only known to insiders at the time, was a trend-setter for classics such as the KORG MS-20 or KORG M-1.
The DV stands for dual voice. It’s still one more voice than the Minimoog with its unbeatable overall concept, but 318 fewer voices than the GEM Promega 3.
Well, not all sizes can be compared easily …
The voltage-controlled filter with the description “TRAVELER,” as well as the sliding potentiometer which blocks the mechanism on both sides, purposefully prevents accidental deletions. The layout is a perfect template, and the colorful design of the 800-DV evokes pleasant memories of times when cars didn’t exclusively come in dark gray, anthracite, or olive green.
The 800-DV and 2-CV somehow go together perfectly … :-)
