The color of the water in its various shades of blue was recreated by the restoration laboratory of the Galleria Nazionale thanks to a note by Pascali about its coloring which is titled Il colore dell’acqua di mare intesa come plastica di liquido (The Color of Sea Water Understood as Plastic of Liquid).

The geometry of the metal squares that contain a gradient of water ranging from intense, dark blue to light blue is identified in the photographic cuts that Pascali takes as a notebook in the city.

Over the entire surface of the lens, he frames unknown walls of rationalist buildings, which in those years came to define the homogeneous structures of the new EUR offices. To these he adds close-up shots of water in the form of puddles, walkways, fords, Roman fountains, primary structures of ships and fences over the water.
