Parte 3 - Construções Sensíveis: A experiência Geometrica Latino Americana na Coleção Ella Fontanals-Cisneros

This is an exhibition developed especially for Brazil, forming a subtle tribute to the ‘Arte Agora III, América Latina: Geometriasensível’, exhibition, that was on display at the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro in 1978, but which was destroyed by a tragic fire. Many of the artists presented at that historic event are present here, as a representation of the pioneering trends in the region, now displayed together with contemporary artists who are pointing the way forward for abstraction today.

Kinetic

Kinetic and optical art stand side by side in the visual studies that place the viewer at the center of the aesthetic experience. The search for movement activates a new dimension of the work of art, abandoning its static condition as a painting or sculpture. The integration of understandings arising from different fields of art, science and technology expands the conceptual substrata of the work and challenges one’s perception.
