Noon Melodies

The Sarangs come alive when the sun shines bright and a lull sets in. As the sun draws our energy Raga Sarang soothes the listener. It is the time to rest and pause right in the middle of the day. Time to allow music to happen while we sit in shade.

Maru Sarang

Like Maru Bihag, Maru Sarang seems to be a slightly gentle version of the parent Raga. Rendered by Mallika-Ae-Mausiki, Roshanara Begun, it becomes gentler.

Madhmad Sarang

There is a heavy headedness in Madhmad and maybe it can be attributed to the use of the note madhyam in this raga
