Paris Square
Straight from Downtown to the Southern Zone, there is Praça Paris, in Gloria. With gardens in French style, similar to the Versailles Palace and large lawns, a lake and a fountain in symmetrical composition the square, it is a final relic of the Belle Epoque. Inaugurated in 1926, the square was designed by french architect and urban planner Alfred Agache.

Flamengo Park
Flamengo Park is the city's largest leisure outdoor area which offers a variety of equipment for sports, recreation and entertainment. Opened in 1965, the park is located along Guanabara Bay, in the Flamengo district, between Downtown Rio and Copacabana. Conceived and designed by Lota de Macedo Soares, the park has modernist gardens and civic landscapes designed by world-renowned artist Roberto Burle Marx.

Flamengo's Deck
Still at the park you can go to Flamengo's Deck to see a panoramic view of Guanabara Bay with Sugarloaf Mountain in the background. It was with this privileged view that the city was born on March 1, 1565. Over there you can find also the monument to honor the city's founder, Estacio de Sá.

Inaugurated to celebrate 115 years of the abolition of slavery in Brazil, the bronze sculpture of Princess Isabel, who became known as "the Redeemer", is located at Princess Isabel Avenue between Copacabana and Leme.

After Ipanema and at the end of Leblon, you can find a statue of Zózimo Barrozo do Amaral. He was a great columnist journalist.
