1: Vorspiele - Allegro moderato
In February 2020 Tai Murray returned as soloist to perform Bruch’s Violin Concerto with Chineke! Orchestra. A former BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist, Tai has been a longstanding collaborator of Chineke!, not only leading the orchestra but performing with the Chineke! Chamber Ensemble, and appearing on the album release with NMC Recordings.

II: Adagio
Max Bruch (1838-1920) was a German Romantic composer and conductor. Bruch was composing as early as the age of 10 and has composed over 200 works. He gave masterclasses at the Berlin Hochschule, with the great composers Respighi and Vaughan Williams among his distinguished pupils. His Violin Concerto No. 1 premiered in 1868. It contains impassioned melodies and virtuosity, and has become one of the most famous violin concertos ever composed.
