The Foundry

 Foundry is a progressive art, cultural and co-working space located on Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Boulevard in Downtown Dubai. Not only is it perfect for the vibrant and busy neighbourhood, but Foundry is also a great addition to the evolving art and culture scene in the UAE.

The space – which is free to visit – offers an annual programme of exhibitions, workshops, and talks, and aims to engage and entertain the local creative community. 

Foundry also includes a cosy cafe where visitors can grab a coffee and a bite to eat while remote workers are invited to setup their laptops and stay for the day. And yes, guests can (carefully) wander around the entire art space with a coffee in hand as they take in all the stunning art and installations. 

From paintings and murals to sculptures and photography, this spot supports and provides unrepresented and independent artists a space to present their works and is a must-visit for culture enthusiasts.

For guests who are in the mood to read or get some creative thinking done, next to the co-working space there is a small corridor decked out with reading pods. Complete with comfortable seats, this is the perfect spot to flip through the pages of a book or to enjoy some alone time with a laptop.  

For even more seclusion, guests can climb a small ladder to reach a pod on the upper level to achieve complete ‘Do Not Disturb’ mode. Additionally, book worms are spoilt for choice with a wide selection of books available in the pop-up library also situated near the reading pods.

Foundry offers work and presentation space to artists and creatives in a highly visible location within Downtown Dubai. The building provides floor to ceiling windows that let in a plethora of natural light, while the surrounding area is a recreational hub for commuters, shoppers and residents.
