Princess Deokon and her husband's Objects

Deokon, the last Princess of the Joseon Dynasty, was born on 10 June 1822 (King Soonjo Year 22) and her parent was the 23rd King Soonjo and Queen Soonwon. she married Yun, Uiseon in 1937 when she was 16 and many items and land were provided to her for her marriage.

Yun Yonggu (1853∼1939) is a foster son of Princess Deokon and her hus- band Yun Uiseon. Princess Deokon did not leave any child. Therefore, among her distant relatives, Yun Yonggu became her foster son after her death. As Yun Yonggu was highly educated and a close relative of royal family, he had been appointed as an important of- ficial through the period of the 26th King, Gojong (高宗) and the 27th King, Soonjong (純宗).
