The most attractive and interesting section of the Center, which is engaged in studying, promoting and protecting Heydar Aliyev’s heritage, is the Museum of Heydar Aliyev. Notable for its design and the application of cutting-edge technologies, the Museum is in harmony with the rest of the Center.

The Museum describes the history of Azerbaijan and different stages of Heydar Aliyev’s life and work. The information is communicated to visitors in an interactive format.
On the ground floor of the museum, cars used by Heydar Aliyev in different periods of his rule are exhibited.
On the first floor of the museum, life and activity of Heydar Aliyev, as well as important milestones in the history of the Azerbaijani people in the twentieth century are reflected by means of interesting facts, photos and video materials, and numerous unique items.
Documents and awards, and gifts presented to Heydar Aliyev by the leaders of different states and prominent figures of various countries are displayed in the second and third floors of the museum.

Ilandagh - a mountain of volcanic origin, located on the territory of Julfa, the Autonomous Republic of Nakhchivan. "Ilan" – in the Azerbaijani language means "snake", and the word "dağh" is translated as “mountain". So, the name of the mountain stemmed from these two words – “Snake Mountain”. The origin of this name is not known in details, but there are a number of legends associated with the name Ilandagh. One legend says that the mountain and its surroundings were full of snakes, for that reason, the locals called it Ilandagh.

Electronic model with a glass surface and six specialized icons gives information about the three major economic projects in Azerbaijan: Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, the opening of which is planned for the end of 2017; Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline, which was opened in 2007; and Baku -Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, which was opened in 2006.

Installed in the multimedia hall, the electronic globe consists of two parts. The first part - the globe itself, with three displays demonstrating the flags of different countries and international organizations. The second part - a monitor on which meetings of Heydar Aliyev with heads of states and personalities of different countries are shown.

The interactive book is created in the multimedia hall, with the possibility of turning pages by wave of a hand, or using specially installed buttons. The book provides information about the dates and places of erecting memorials to Heydar Aliyev in Azerbaijan and abroad.

Double-breasted closed uniform of "aquamarine" colour, with six buttons of gold colour, with red and gold piping and red soutache on the collar and sleeves. The upper removable button on the left breast is replaced with a medal of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. On the right side of the chest are four medals: Academic badge, medal of Honorary KGB Official of the USSR, Order of the USSR Red Star and the Medal of the 50th Anniversary of TEC-KGB. Trousers with two parallel red stripes are made in the same colour. The uniform includes a cap, made in the same style, with red and gold details. In the centre of the cap is sewn the emblem of the USSR "Hammer and Sickle."

In all periods of Heydar Aliyev’s activity, starting from his youth, his great services for his homeland and people were highly appreciated, and he was repeatedly awarded to the highest orders and medals. He was awarded with 5 Lenin orders and twice the Hero of the Socialist Labor, golden star “Sickle and Hammer” medal 1979 and 1983, which was the highest award of the USSR. Some of the medals and orders he was awarded are displayed at the exhibition.
