What makes Lisandra unique?
With the idea of showcasing the colourful Cuban culture and music in Dubai, musicians in Havana were auditioned, leading to the creation of the 6-piece band ‘Cubache’. Lisandra, a Cuban singer, was among them.

Since 2017, she has been the lead singer of Cubache, during which time the band was nominated three times for Time Out Awards as the Best Bar Band.
She has also performed on some of the prestigious stages in the UAE – Expo 2020 being one of them – as well as Bahrain, Egypt and India many times over.

As an artist, Lisandra was influenced by Celia Cruz, Benny More and Cuban pop sensation Gloria Estefan.
Singing since a very young age, she turned professional in 2010, and performed with some bands and also as a soloist. In 2015, she had her first stage outside Cuba. It was in Turkey.

Lisandra and her fellow musicians are passionate about Cuban music and bring their own influences to the group.
Their instruments include congas, timbal, trumpet, piano, bass etc. while the African and Spanish flavour can be seen in many dancing rhythms like Rumba, Son, Guaracha, Mambo, Pilon, and Cha cha cha.
Lisandra has a voice that spans the breadth of authentic Cuban son, including boleros, afro-soul, rumba, salsa and Latin soul in particular. She admires the Dubai music scene and aspires to be a part of bigger projects.

Lisandra has performed in many culturally rich countries around the world including Turkey, Egypt and India.
