Although during the 1920s and 1930s the transportation of the couple and their guests was carried out by means of motor vehicles, at the beginning of the 20th century it was quite different. At that time, streetcars could be rented from the Light and Power company, with a more sophisticated wagon, including curtains and upholstered seats.

Among the images found in the collection is the wedding of composer Ary Barroso and Yvonne Arantes, which took place on February 26, 1930, at the Church of Santo Antônio dos Pobres. The wedding scenes show the bride and groom arriving at the church, as well as their friends and family invited to the celebration.

That year, Ary also graduated in Law (a career he never pursued) and released the marchinha “Dá nela”, the first of many hits in his oeuvre, such as the sambas “Aquarela do Brasil”, “Camisa amarela”, “Isto aqui o que é”, “Na Baixa do Sapateiro”, “Morena boca de ouro” and “Faceira”, among others.
