Martin Charnin discusses his memories of the West Side Story The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts
Martin Charnin, who originally played the Jet named "Big Deal" (who wears the glasses and the brimmed hat), went on to become the director and lyricist of the musical Annie and many other Broadway shows. Charnin is directing an upcoming documentary which includes interviews with most of the surviving members of the cast and creative team.
